This international website is provided by The Academy of Infection Management (AIM) Ltd., . Please read the following terms and conditions (“Terms”) carefully as they govern your membership and use of this website . By accessing this website you agree to be bound by these Terms, as amended from time to time.

We may, for any reason and without notice to you, change any part of this website or these Terms. We will use reasonable efforts to indicate any material changes to these Terms by posting a notice on the homepage of this website. Your continued use of this website after the effective date of any change to these Terms will be treated as acceptance by you of such change.

Membership obligations

1. Your membership of this website is personal to you and you must therefore not share it with any other person. If you have been issued with a username and/or password, you agree to keep these secure and confidential and you agree to (i) notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any unauthorised disclosure or use of your username and/or password and (ii) be liable for any loss or damage resulting from such unauthorised use or disclosure.

2. You are responsible for providing all equipment necessary to access this website and for all related third party charges (eg telephone charges and Internet Service Provider charges).

3. You agree to use this website only in accordance with these Terms. In the event that your unauthorised use of this website results in loss or damage to any person who then brings a claim against us, you agree to indemnify us for all losses and/or damages arising from such claim.

4.5 to inform us immediately of any claim or action of whatsoever nature against you for any use of this website and, on request from us, to immediately cease the act complained of; and

4.6 to inform us immediately of any changes affecting your registration details. It is your obligation to ensure that your registration details are kept up to date.

Termination

5. You may terminate your membership of this website at any time by giving us not less than ten (10) working days’ notice by e-mail to [info@aiminfection.org]. You should clearly state your name, username and registration details (if any) and the name of this website on all communications.

6. We may, in our absolute discretion, terminate or suspend your membership immediately without notice for any reason, including (without limitation) if you breach any of these Terms. We may also, in our sole discretion and at any time, cease the provision of this website, or any part thereof, with or without notice to you. In the event that we cease to provide this website, you agree that we may immediately de-activate your membership and delete any personal information relating to your membership.

Our use of your personal information

We will process your personal information in accordance with current data protection legislation, our privacy policy and the data protection notice2 that was provided to you when you registered to become a member of this website. You agree that we may contact you from time to time by e-mail with information relating to the provision of this website.

25. These Terms shall be construed in accordance with English law and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

26. This website is intended to provide a valuable source of educational materials for Healthcare Professionals with an interest in infectious disease. The content is reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors of AIM and/or AIM Faculty members before posting to ensure fair balance and appropriateness of content. In order to support the costs of providing this service, the Board of AIM have agreed that a restricted amount of promotional content, from sponsors, is acceptable. Where content is considered to be of a promotional nature, this will be clearly flagged as such and the sponsoring party shall be named as provider of that content. The sponsoring party will also be responsible for ensuring that any promotional content, supplied by them, shall be prepared with reference to the IFPMA Code of Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices.
27. In using this website you agree that any concerns you may have about the content with be taken up first with The Academy of Infection Management (AIM) Ltd. If your concerns relate to educational material supplied by the Academy of Infection Management (AIM) Ltd., the Board of AIM will consider your concerns and issue a response in terms of proposed actions or otherwise to rectify the situation. If your concerns relate to any promotional content supplied by a sponsor, The Academy of Infection Management (AIM) Ltd., will remove the promotional content until you have confirmed satisfactory resolution of the same with the sponsor. If you should not receive a satisfactory response from the sponsor, you may submit a complaint to the IFPMA, Geneva, Switzerland. Any complaints concerning promotional content which is specific to one country, may alternatively be submitted to the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association in the country concerned.
